Daddy Doll

There are so many companies out there doing great things for us military families. One of them is the San Diego chapter of the Red Cross. They are providing "Hug a Hero Dolls" aka. Daddy Dolls for small children of deployed service members. Julia received hers before daddy left and there we also have one for the new baby when he arrives. Here is a picture of Julia and her daddy doll.

Personally, for my kids, I found and chose the Huggee Miss You dolls! They're more like an actual doll and aren't awkward to hold or cuddle. The hair can be cut into a buzz cut like daddy's hair! and the picture can be changed as often as desired as well as being able to throw it in the washer. www.huggeemissyou.com

You have to do whatever is possible to comfort and assure the kids that Daddy loves them and misses them
