Fathers Day

Jeff wanted to keep Fathers Day low key this year - so we ate breakfast a local hot spot then headed down to La Jolla Cove. The Cove has to be one of the best things about living in San Diego...the seals, the water, the sun, the kids and puppies. The views are incredible and it is just so very "California". Here are a few pictures from that morning...it was a perfect Daddy Day outing.

In Memory

I can not let anymore time go by before I blog about my mother. She died September of 2010 due to cancer...she was the best - and I mean the BEST mother anyone could ask for. She was loving, giving, funny, kind, sweet silly and most of all a good friend all rolled into one. Our relationship just got stronger the older I got. It is a shame that her life got cut so short due to an ugly disease that there is no cure for. She lived 63 wonderful years and got to see 2 of her grandbabies be born. I miss her to this day - although as time goes by the loss gets a bit more distant - not a day goes by that I dont still think of her.

How Time Goes By

I have been so negletful of this blog...and I am feeling a bit guilty about it. Mostly selfishly..as one day I want to look back and see how things in my life progressed over the years. I did such a good job at it when Jeff was deployed but as soon as Jeff came home - well, things faltered and life happened.
